Queenston Commons Bank Restoration Project

Hopewell Valley Engineering, PC (HVE) prepared a Topograhic Survey, Wetlands Location Plan and Stream Bank Restoration Plans for the Queenston Commons community located in Princeton, New Jersey.

This project consisted of stabilizing a portion of the bank/channel area along Harry’s Brook within the Queenston Commons residential development.

The Harry’s Brook stream bank/channel had eroded and was beginning to encroach upon several existing trees. Further erosion of the berm would have impacted an existing residential unit located immediately adjacent to the stream. This project restored the bank area within the applicant’s property limits.

The contractor installed the soil and covered it with erosion control fabric and coconut fiber rolls along the edge of the waterway. Herbaceous plugs and grass have been planted and will be maintained by the contractor.
